Presented by American Society of Civil Engineers & Future Cities, Reed Brockman
Introduce students to Civil Engineering by challenging them to improve their city’s design!
2) Marshmallow Construction Co.
Presented by Cambridge Science Festival and Science on the Street
Build a structure from marshmallows and toothpicks – towers, bridges, and 6 different shapes to construct!
3) Baggie Gardens
Presented by Cambridge Science Festival and Science on the Street
Students make and take a baggie garden to bring home and observe how seeds sprout and grow.
4) Star Wheel
Presented by Cambridge Science Festival and Science on the Street
Make your own star wheel to bring home and explore the night sky!
5) Indoor Gliders
Presented by Cambridge Science Festival and Science on the Street

6) Skeleton Spines
Presented by Cambridge Science Festival and Science on the Street
Make spine models from pipe cleaners and tri-beads.
7) String Telephones & Harps
Presented by Cambridge Science Festival and Science on the Street
Learn how sound can travel by making and testing string telephones made from paper cups and string. Also, make sounds with various household items.
8) Seed Dispersal Design Challenge
Presented by Cambridge Science Festival and Science on the Street
Design and test a wind dispersed seed structure to carry a single seed the farthest distance possible.
9) Puff Mobile
Presented by Cambridge Science Festival and Science on the Street
Build a wind-powered vehicle from a limited supply of materials
10) Archimedes Screw
Presented by Cambridge Science Festival and Science on the Street
Operate an Archimedes screw to learn about simple machines and the transportation of water.
11) Group Science Mural
Presented by Cambridge Science Festival and Science on the Street
Share your impressions of science by drawing a science-related picture or writing something about science on the mural.
12) Eat Like a Bird
Presented by Cape Cod Museum of Natural History
Learn how different beak shapes are suited to different food sources
13) Whale Activity
